Detailed offer

Malta onboarding details

We incorporate Malta private limited companies under the Companies Act, covering name reservation, the memorandum and articles, Malta Business Registry filing, registered office, and AML/KYC onboarding. Where the company is being built underneath a Malta license, the application is scoped as its own workstream. Core incorporation and annual maintenance are quoted after reviewing the structure.

Offer provided 2026-08-27. Government and third-party fees should be reconfirmed before engagement.

AML/KYC onboarding

  • Identity documents for all shareholders, UBOs, directors, and authorised signatories (valid passport or ID), certified as required.
  • Two different proofs of residential address for each relevant person, dated within the last three months.
  • Ownership structure chart for multi-layer or corporate ownership; UBOs with 25% or more participation or equivalent control must be identified and registered.
  • Source of funds and, where relevant, source of wealth declarations with supporting documents.
  • Business profile of the new company (model, markets, counterparties, and expected first-year turnover).
  • Tax residence information and TIN where available for CRS and FATCA reporting.
  • PEP and sanctions status declarations for all relevant persons.

Additional measures may include

  • Enhanced review where higher risk, PEP status, or complex ownership is identified.
  • Additional supporting documents for source of funds or wealth.
  • Further clarification requested by Malta providers, the bank, or - where a license is in scope - the regulator.

Incorporation information

  • Proposed company name(s) and a precise statement of the company's objects
  • Authorised share capital from EUR 1,165, with at least 20% paid up on subscription
  • Evidence of the paid-up capital deposit
  • At least one director and a company secretary
  • A registered office address in Malta
  • Shareholder and UBO details, including ownership percentages

How the process works

  1. 01

Confirm the company's objects, share capital, officers, and whether a Malta license is part of the plan.

  2. 02

Submit company information, ownership structure, and AML/KYC documents.

  3. 03

Complete KYC review and receive a scoped quote for incorporation and selected services.

  4. 04

Deposit the paid-up share capital and file the memorandum and articles with the Malta Business Registry.

  5. 05

Receive registration confirmation and continue with company secretarial, banking, and licensing support as selected.

Before and after formation

  • Every Malta company needs a registered office in Malta and a company secretary.
  • The memorandum states the company's objects, so the intended activity has to be described precisely at incorporation.
  • UBOs are registered with the Malta Business Registry as well as identified for AML purposes.
  • Malta expects credible governance and substance; banks and regulators look past the statutory minimum capital.
  • Bank and EMI onboarding is evidence-heavy and the decision rests with the institution.

Onboarding & document standards

Malta expects credible governance and compliance rather than a paper-only setup. We collect the company's objects, share capital, ownership, and KYC evidence before filing - and ask up front whether a Malta license is part of the plan, because it changes what the registry, the bank, and the regulator expect.

  • Identity documents must be valid and certified as required by the provider.
  • Provide two different proofs of residential address dated within the last 3 months, each showing the person's name.
  • UBOs with 25% or more participation or equivalent control must be identified and registered.
  • Corporate documents must be recent and certified, and apostilled where they originate outside Malta.
  • Malta AML/KYC under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act must be completed before registration and banking.
